Helping Hand Nursing Services has a compassionate understanding of the difficulties experienced by the entire family when a loved one suffers from dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease.
At Helping Hand, we utilize a holistic approach that fundamentally rests upon the quality of our assessment and care plan.
Research has proven that the quality of Dementia Care depends upon the quality of the assessment and care plan.
Gerontologist, 2018, Vol. 58
Our care begins with a Complimentary Nursing Assessment to learn more about your loved one’s routines, past interests, preferences, activities, and current medical conditions. After completing the assessment, a nurse will develop a personalized care plan that follows evidence-based dementia care guidelines.
Helping Hand uses compassionate caregivers who have the experience and training needed to properly care for your loved one. Our caregivers develop a relationship with your loved one that promotes effective and empathic communication and encourages your loved one to participate in their daily activities.
At Helping Hand, we know the importance of having an ongoing relationship with the same caregiver(s) and do not limit our caregivers’ work hours or charge overtime.
This helps create a stable foundation that your loved one can depend on when faced with the challenges of living with dementia. As needs change over time, the care plan will be modified to meet the continually changing requirements of your loved one.
We understand how important communication is for family members. Our caregivers communicate status updates regarding your loved one through a dedicated phone line and a specialized mobile application.
Navigating life after being diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease can be extremely challenging for you and your loved ones. Helping Hand is here to help during these demanding times with our specialized memory care services.

Helping Hand’s memory care services have been developed to cover all aspects of care involving an individual experiencing dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease. We utilize highly-skilled professional caregivers who are experienced in caring for adults with cognitive decline issues. They are prepared to deal with all circumstances that might arise when caring for seniors experiencing reduced cognitive function.
We begin all our dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease home care plans with a comprehensive evaluation of your loved one’s requirements. Our nursing assessment will enable us to learn more about daily routines, past interests, preferences, enjoyed activities, and current medical conditions. Following the completion of the evaluation, a personalized care plan will be developed for you or your loved one by our nurse administrator.
Our caregivers are in constant communication with our nurse administrator, who is a Registered Nurse (RN) and Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Our nurse administrator has over 35 years of experience in geriatric nursing and care coordination.
If there is any change with your loved one’s status, that information is quickly conveyed to our nurse administrator, so the home care plan can be modified to accommodate such changes.
The challenges of living with dementia or other causes of cognitive decline change over time. Helping Hand’s in-home care is tailored to meet each individual’s needs and adapt to their changing circumstances.
